The Idea Of A Neighborhood Playground Discussed At Board Meeting

Will Secret Woods perhaps one day have a neighborhood playground? The idea was one of the topics at the March board meeting.

Secret Woods Homeowners Association Board Meeting

Monday, March 4th, 2019

  1. Certify Quorum:
    1. Board Members: Kathy Williams, Sharon Snow, Beth Reiney, Lisa DeMascio, Gary Bassett, Aaron Ward
    2. Joe Williams, Byron DeLong, Daniel Miller, Nate Lee, Andrew Barker, Bill Champion
  2. Meeting called to order: 6:31pm
  3. February minutes were approved as written.
  4. Financials: Sharon Snow provided the financial report with budget year to date numbers and account balances.
    1. Billing issue with Bug Out service has been straightened out and has resulted in a credit that will be sent.
    2. It was approved to pay Lake Doctors’ overdue invoice of $111.28 for timer repair performed last fall.
    3. It was approved to reimburse Kathy Williams $265 CCR mailing expenses.
    4. It was approved to spend approximately $149 for copies and stamps for annual meeting materials.
  5. Old Business
    1. Tennis Court – 4 estimates were solicited and reviewed. It was approved to spend up to $10,000 with Pro Sealed Asphalt Inc. to resurface the tennis court, add pickleball lines, replace the center net and missing windscreens. Kathy and Beth to work with them to get the job scheduled.
    2. Harris, Harris and Guidi – The firm has reimbursed the HOA $713.48 for the mishandled CCR renewal.
    3. Dues Lien – The board has determined the current amount owed by Lot #97 is approximately $1200. This amount will be assessed on any sale of the property.
    4. Kathy has continued to follow up the request to the city to get a 4-way stop at the intersection of Secret Woods Dr. and Secret Woods Trail. There was discussion about neighbors adding their voices to this campaign to drive it. Also addressed were the continuing traffic issues at Belfort Rd, JTB and Gate Pkwy.
  6. New Business:
    1. Lake Doctors was consulted about any solutions to the drainage issues being experienced by Lot #117. They are going to remove the fish bars (ponds are no longer stocked) and recommended Jacksonville Mow It All for clearing out grass and debris from the control structures. An estimate of $100 was received from Jacksonville Mow It All and it was approved by the board.
  7. Miscellaneous and Lot Concerns
    1. Annual Meeting materials will be sent out to the neighborhood shortly for the meeting on May 6th.
    2. Clear standing letter requested by Lot #122 for an external party has been sent by Kathy.
    3. Architectural review board approved request by Lot #117.
    4. There was discussion with the board and neighbors concerning the desire for a playground for our neighborhood children. This topic will be discussed further at the annual meeting.
