BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Gary Bassett, Katherine Frazier, David Hargnett, Ross Thompson , Beth Reiney, and Rob Hagen.
NEIGHBORS PRESENT: Bryon DeLong

Meeting was called to order at 6:02pm. The minutes from the March 2011 board meeting were accepted as written. The financial statement prepared by Rob Hagen was accepted as written.

OLD BUSINESS:

POOL LEAK: American Leak Detector found a broken conduit in the light fixture at the shallow end of the pool. The leak was repaired, and the light fixture was sealed.

IRRIGATION SYSTEM: Installation of the new and improved irrigation system was completed last month. The final stage of installing a rain sensor will be completed on Friday.

FOUNTAIN REPAIR: Innovative Fountain Repair has completed the installation of a new pump in the smaller pond.

POOL PUMP: A new pool pump has been installed by Hammerhead Pools. The previous pump was still under warranty, therefore, the only charge to our association was for installation labor.

POOL DECK PAINTING: Bids will be gathered for presentation next month for power washing, caulking and painting the deck around the pool.

MAILBOX RENOVATION: The board has received one bid for the renovation of the mailbox area. We will request bids from two other sources: Mann’s Roofing and Construction, and Terry Trussell.

LOOSE TENNIS SCREENS: Three teenaged boys were observed pushing up the tennis fence and rolling under it to obtain access to the swimming pool. The board is looking into bids to anchor the fence. Meanwhile, if any neighbor sees these boys rolling under the
fence, or observes them in the pool, please contact the non-emergency police number: 904/630-0500.

ANNUAL MEETING: The Secret Woods Homeowners Association annual meeting will be held Monday, May 9, at 7:00p.m. at the Southpoint Baptist Church activity building. Please plan to attend or fill out the proxy form and give to someone who plans to attend. We must have 42 households represented to be able to conduct the required business.

NEW BUSINESS:

HOA INSURANCE: Bids are being gathered for comparison for the homeowners association insurance, including liability, coverage of the pool and poolhouse and worker’s comp for outside contractors. A selection of the insurance carrier will be made this week.

FLAG POLE PARTS: Pieces of the flagpole were in need of replacement after our last storm. The parts have been put in place and our flag is now at the required height. The light that shines on our flag is not working and a new bulb will be inserted this week.

With all matters discussed and no further business at hand, the meeting was adjourned at 7:15 p.m.

The next board meeting will be held Monday, May 9, 2011, 7:00 p.m. at Southpoint Baptist Church.
