Secret Woods Homeowners Association Board Meeting
Monday, December 2, 2019
1. Certify Quorum: Board Members: Dan Flynn, Jenny Barth, Julie Carter, Rebecca Lee, and Tracy
Winfree. Others: Byron DeLong, Laurie Flynn
2. Meeting called to order: 7:00pm
3. Financials – Dan summarized assets, sufficiently available for projects discussed below.
4. Luminaria – Kits were assembled (thank you Rebecca for supplies). Several volunteers assisted (thank you to all). Distribution assignments were made. Targeted distribution to neighbors set to be sometime after the ninth. Instructions were included. Magnets with neighborhood information were also included (thank you Julie).
5. A short business meeting:
a. Reimbursements – reiterated prior approval of expenses for luminaria kit items (Rebecca) set at not to exceed $200 last month. Magnets (Julie) were approved at about $60.
b. Tennis Court Net – Estimates were obtained for a new net at $200 previously. An extra
$100 was requested by Beth to cover possible crank repair. However, the Board approved an amount not to exceed amount of $500 to take care of any other contingencies.
c. Fence Repair – Repair/replace wood fencing along the pond on both Goodnow and
Tigerhole. Estimates are coming in. The best so far is $6,446 (includes other work). Based
on this best estimate so far, the Board approved a not to exceed amount of $8000 for
possible contingencies and /or additional work.
d. Electricians – Tests by Beth and/or Dan were made on the pool lights, mail box light, tennis court electrical outlet, and back sign light. These require further repairs, best completed by electricians. A not to exceed amount of $500 was approved by the Board.
e. Broken Pool Lock – Broken key in pool lock, Piner’s Lock and Key to repair. A not to exceed amount of $500 was approved by the Board.
f. Byron proposed a sign at the mail box for Luminaria and was given the OK. Thank you Byron.
6. Meeting adjourned at 7:20pm
