Secret Woods Homeowners Association Board Meeting
Date: September 8, 2014
Board Members Present: Dan Flynn, Mark Wnuk, Pam Miles, Michael Byrd and Katherine Frazier. Also present: Rob Hagen, Byron DeLong, David Hargnett and Laurie Flynn.
Certified Quorum 6:10 p.m.
Approval of the August minutes. Motion by Michael Byrd and seconded by Pam Miles. Motion Carried.
Also, after some discussion, Motion by Michael Byrd to list only street names for General Violations and items coming to the Architectural Review Committee. Seconded by Pam Miles, motion carried.
Financials: Mark Wnuk presented the financials. Total expenses for August was $3,110.37. In addition to recurring bills, other payments totaled $952.60 and included:
- Contribution to Southside Baptist Church ($100) for hosting our Annual HOA meeting
- Dan Flynn ($149.79) reimburse of HOA meeting and annual dues expenses
- Young Mark Wnuk ($350) for pressure washing pool decking, furniture and pool house
- Crown Pools ($143.81) for shallow end light
- Paradise Pools($209) for auto fill float and valve
Old Business:
- Movie Night – Postponed until next year.
- Dark Streaks on pool decking – Waiting on Paint, need to bleach first.
- Website Updated – Directories have been updated.
- Additional Projects – Painting of signs, Michael Byrd to report by next meeting on cost. Pool House Roof.
- Gallagher Insurance – Tabled until next meeting as Sharon was absent.
New Business:
- Neighborhood Activities – Chili Cook Off is scheduled for October 25th. Save the date signs will be posted on the mailbox billboard. Motion by Mark Wnuk to set the budget at $150, seconded by Michael Byrd, motion carried. Other events planned are Hayride/Parade/Community Garage Sale.
- SWHOA Board Member Certifications – Pam Miles had the certifications and gave them to Dan Flynn.
- Minutes Posting at Bulletin Board – discussed with the approval of the minutes.
- Open Discussion – Locks at the pool house are not working properly. Mark Wnuk to call Piners about repairing. Motion by Michael Byrd to allow up to $200 without bringing back to board, seconded by Katherine Frazier, motion carried.
- Miscellaneous and Violations – New roof and house painting – approved.
Next meeting will be on October 6th at the home of Pam Miles.
