Update on Keith Godwin

As of late Monday evening our neighbor Keith Godwin was still listed in critical condition. The following story on Keith ran on Jacksonville.com Monday:

MOTORCYCLIST INJURED: A 35-year-old Jacksonville man remained in critical condition yesterday at Shands Jacksonville after losing control of a motorcycle that slammed into a tree Saturday in a Southside neighborhood.

Franklyn Keith Godwin was driving north on Secret Woods Trail at about 5:05 p.m. Saturday when he swerved off the roadway into a yard, then returned to the road but hit a curb at the intersection of Secret Woods Trail and Secret Woods Drive, according to a Sheriff's Office report.

The motorcycle went into another yard and hit a tree, ejecting Godwin.

Man hospitalized after motorcycle accident

JACKSONVILLE, Fl (Southside) - A 35-year-old man is in the hospital after a motorcycle accident on the Southside Saturday night. Police say Keith Godwin was driving fast when he turned a corner, lost control and struck a tree.

Officers told First Coast News Godwin was life-flighted to Shands Jacksonville were he's in critical condition.

three street lights are out at the secret woods trail entrance, there are three street lights that have been out for some time now. jea has been notified four times. the problem lies in the wires under the ground, not the bulbs. our city council-women rep.(suzanne jenkins) also has been contacted via e-mail. she was very helpful and the lights should be back on very soon. (posted 1/28/'02)
