November party a success - More than 75 people attended the Secret Woods fall party on November 2. Areas businesses donated over $150 worth of door prizes. The donors included: Winn-Dixie (Beach Blvd.), Dave and Busters, Cina Buffet, The Loop (Bowden Road) and Schwanns. Look for a full report on the party in the Secret Woods newsletter. A photo gallery from the party has also been posted.

Fall Hoe-Down - The Secret Woods fall party will be Saturday, November 2 from 4-8pm at the pool. The event will be catered with a prize for the best pot luck dessert. Be sure to sign up at the neighborhood mail box to attend. There will be music and a door prize. Hoe-down outfits are optional! Come join us. It's a great chance to get to know your neighbors.

Let's party! – The Secret Woods Internet party poll vote was overwhelmingly in favor of having a fall get-together. So the board has set a date. Mark your calendars to attend a neighborhood party on Saturday, November 2 at the pool area. Hot dogs, hamburgers and potluck desserts will be among the items on the menu. Pool update - As many of you know the Portofino Pool Company accidentally drained our pool several weeks ago. Board President Joe Miller reports Portofino has agreed to pay the water bill to re-fill the pool. Portofino has also agreed to pay for any problems that may arise with the pump over the next year, Joe said. At the Sept. 9 board meeting, the board voted to also get an independent inspection of the pool to make sure it did not suffer any structural damage.

www.secretwoods.com - The Secret Woods Website will soon be moving. The neighborhood board has voted to activate the our domain name and move the site to a server with more space. By moving the site we will be able to continue expanding its features. It will also allow us to drop the banner ads and pop-up ads that are currently appearing. There is no exact date for the move yet. But hopefully we will switch the site over to www.secretwoods.com within a month.

Calling all volunteers - Saturday morning, Sept. 14 at 8:30, volunteers will be gathering to finish painting a section of the neighborhood fence that is near the back entrance of Secret Woods.
