BEWARE - THIEVES IN AREA
At least four vehicles have been broken into over the past several weeks in Secret Woods.  Neighbors have reported break-ins on Secret Woods Drive and Chappelwood Lane.  Although police are investigating, it is believed the thieves are still on the loose.  To minimize your risk of being victimized keep your windows up, doors locked, and if possible, keep your vehicle locked in your garage, especially at night.

Volunteers make the difference

Secret Woods awarded city grant
Workday to be held Nov. 5
The City of Jacksonville has awarded Secret Woods a $5,000 grant for a neighborhood improvement project.  Secret Woods will use the grant to defray the cost of replacing the fencing around the front of the neighborhood.  One of the requirements of the grant is for residents to contribute 125 hours of volunteer time and labor.  A workday will be held Saturday, November 5, beginning at 9am to get the project underway.  Please bring your tools and gardening equipment.  More information on the workday is available at the mailboxes.  For all the latest neighborhood news reader the October minutes.

Residents propose raising homeowners initiation fee
 The vast majority of homeowners in attendance at the 2005 Annual Secret Woods Homeowners meeting indicated they favor raising the initiation fee for future residents to $500.  For the full story click here.
