  1. Greeting: Laurie
  • Certify Quorum: certified. Laurie, Kim, Sandy, Skip, Rebecca, and Carty
  •  Call to Order: 7:04 p.m.
  • Introduction of Board Members: Laurie Flynn, President; Kim Jenkins, Vice President; Rebecca Lee, Secretary; Linda Montgomery, Treasurer; Carty Seay, Director; Sandy Caroccio, Director; Skip Cooney, Director.
  • Recognitions: The alligator has been removed from the big pond. Thank you, neighbors for contacting the city! Three new families have moved into Secret Woods. Welcome!
  • Financials:
  1. Review of income and expenses. Expenses were higher this year due to the major repairs at the pool. The board will discuss potentially increasing dues to get more revenue.

Laurie highlighted areas on the budget spreadsheet that went over budget. The proposed budget for the next fiscal year was handed out. Next year’s proposed budget is $68, 100.

  • Election of Board Members:

David Hargnett elected Director. Laurie to stay on for another term.

Erin Gordon to remain head of the ARC. Andy Barth and Jonathan Shug elected as new ARC members.  

            Board meeting to follow to select officers.

  • Past Years Accomplishments: The cell tower has been repaired and has new branches. Thanks, Skip and Susie! Kona Ice visited the neighborhood. The electrical work around Pond #1 has been completed. The pond also has new electrical boxes.  The pool deck has been stabilized and has been completely redone. Thank you to everyone who came out to move the furniture! A big thank you to Kim and Adam for cleaning the pool furniture! There are also new lights at the pool. The tennis court has new windscreens. Thank you to everyone who helped with the neighborhood clean-up day! The website was switched to a new hosting platform and received an amazing makeover. Thank you to Byron for always repairing the Yard of the Month sign. Cookies and Cocoa was another success during luminaria. The happy hours have been a great way to meet other neighbors.
  • Upcoming Projects: The bulkhead behind the tennis court. A new gate/lock for the pool. Tennis court resurfacing.
  1. Review of select areas of our Covenants & Restrictions: Discussion of HB 1203 and the impact it has on the Covenants and Restrictions. The ARC will read the new state laws. Any project that a homeowner wants to complete on the outside of his/her home needs to go through the ARC. The ARC forms are on the website.
  1. The floor is open for neighbor comments:

Discussion about parking cars in the street. Maybe talk to your neighbors and have a campaign to park in garages and driveways.
