Board votes to raise annual dues
The Secret Woods board voted at its February meeting to raise the annual dues by $25 to meet escalating neighborhood maintenance costs.  Although dues have never been increased before under the current board's watch, the covenants do allow the board to raise dues by up to 10 percent each year under Section three, article A. Insurance company pays up, entrance sign rebuilt
Progressive Insurance has  paid a claim for damage done to the brickwork at the neighborhood's back entrance.  The check was presented at the January 10 board meeting.  The sign was fixed within days of the board receiving the check.  To read the January minutes click here.

Lighting up the night
A special thanks goes out to all the neighbors and scouts who helped make our annual luminaries night such a success on Saturday, December 18. 

Scouts from Pack 318 and Troop 159 gathered along with neighbors to form an assembly line, putting together more than a thousand candles inside bags with sand.  Residents and scouts then delivered the luminaries to every home in the neighborhood, in some cases setting them up as well.

Calm winds and temperatures in the 40s combined for the perfect setting for neighbors to stroll about or drive through the neighborhood to admire all the holiday lights.

It's already time to start thinking about the holidays
The question was raised at the October board meeting about whether the neighborhood should sponsor a luminaries night this year and if so should it be held Christmas Eve or on the Saturday, Dec. 18.  The board  decided to let it up to the neighborhood.  Please vote in our online polls.  The board will make its decision based on the results of the polls at the November meeting.  To read the minutes of the October board meeting click here.
Get those costumes ready for the Secret Woods Halloween parade

Date: Oct. 3, 2004
Secret Woods will be hosting a Halloween Parade on Saturday, October 23, beginning at 2 p.m.  There will be costume contests for kids and adults and even a bounce house.  It all starts at the neighborhood center (pool house).  Please bring a snack or drinks to share after the parade and get ready for a frightfully good time. 		The new Secret Woods Marketplace is now open

 You can now order coffee mugs, t-shirts, hats and more with the Secret Woods logo.

We have opened a new marketplace.  All proceeds generated through the marketplace will go back to the Secret Woods Neighborhood Association.
