Secretary's note: This month's minutes are incomplete because the secretary arrived late to the meeting.

The Secret Woods August 11 board meeting was called to order  by Board President Joe Miller in the conference room of the YMCA on Belfort Road.

The following board members attended: Bill Bortzfield,  Byron DeLong, Joe Miller,  Tom Bozak, Horst Pophal and  Sallie Wnuk. Residents Harold and Gerda Humphries  and Carol Bozak also attended.

Tom Bozak was elected as the board's new treasurer.  He is taking over the position from Mark Wnuk.  As part of his new position, Tom will be given check signing privileges along with board member Sallie Wnuk. 

Harold questioned Joe about why he said at the last meeting that the annual dues notices had been mailed, when in fact at that point they had not.  Joe replied that when he said the dues had been mailed out he had assumed his secretary had mailed the notices and did not mean to imply that he had personally mailed the notices.

Carol reported that about five proxies have been received for the annual meeting so far.  Gerda said she has talked to the block captains about contacting neighbors and reminding them to either return their proxies or attend the Sept. 23 homeowners meeting.

The board approved $50 for Carol Bozak to buy snacks for the meeting.  Joe asked board members to arrive early to help with the set up and also said that Marianne Pophal would be bringing along the neighborhood's photo scrap book.

The board agreed to look into whether Winn-Dixie and Publix would be willing to donate door prizes for the homeowners meeting.
