SECRET WOODS HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION MINUTES OF AUGUST 13, 2007
Board Members Attending: Mary Loving, Wayne Williams, Gary Bassett, Ken Peterson, Jim Huttle, Katherine Frazier, Dale Elzie

Call To Order: 6:30 p.m. at Publix Conference Room

Minutes from July 9, 2007: Read and accepted

Treasurer’s Report: Read and accepted Unfinished Business: Garage Sale: postponed until September 22, 2007 due to hot weather.

Basketball Goal: in process; the old one will be taken down on 8/18/07.

Pool House Siding: in process - to begin in two weeks.

New Business: Pool: 8/9/07: Fecal material was found in the pool and the pool was closed temporarily for use. All homeowners are reminded to clean the pool areas after use. It was noted that the pool area gets a great deal of use during the summer months and the pool cleaners may need to come in more often. This is under review.

Secretary/Treasurer: Dale Elzie, the secretary/treasurer, is moving to Gainesville, Fl. Wayne Williams will be the temporary secretary/treasurer until a replacement is in place.

Parking Inquiries: Several homeowners have been asking about the policy of parking on the street. Although the street is public property, people are encouraged not to park in the street for safety and aesthetic reasons. Also, it is against the law to park within 50 feet of a stop sign.

Political Signs: All homeowners are reminded that posting political signs in Secret Woods is not allowed.

Mailbox Area: The mailbox area needs to be upgraded and this is under review.

Trailers: All homeowners are reminded that trailers are not allowed to be parked in driveways or yards. Board Members will meet on August 20, 2007 at Wayne Williams to continue working of covenant issues.
